Tournaments

If the operator has switched the tournament mode on, the home page shows the tab Tournaments ("In the hall") next to "Multiplayer" and "Solo games". There you find tournaments for chess, Texas Hold'em and Skat with several tables playing at the same time.

  • Playing: You need an account. Sign up on the tournament's card; until the start you can withdraw again. You can be signed up for only one open or running tournament at a time.
  • The hall: Every tournament has a hall with the standings, the tables and a countdown to the next round. When a round begins it shows "To the table" – you have 90 seconds to sit down. Whoever does not come loses the round by forfeit.
  • At the table you play as usual, only without a host: the tournament sets the rules and starts the game. After the game "Back to the hall" takes you back.
  • Watching: While you wait you can watch every running table – without the players' cards. In the music quiz you hear the current track; mute and volume sit above the table.
  • Formats: chess in the Swiss system (win 1 point, draw ½) or round robin, poker as a shootout (the best of every table move on until the final table), Skat as a series tournament (total points decide).

Game night

Several games in a row in the same lobby, with a total score over the whole evening. If game night is switched on, a host with an account turns it on in the lobby: with the 🎲 button to the left of the start button.

  • Planning: With "+ Station" the host picks a game and sets it up as usual – every station has its own settings. 2 to 10 stations; the same game may appear more than once. ↑ ↓ change the order, ⚙ the settings, ✕ removes a station. The Quizmaster cannot be a station.
  • Players: The evening fits the number of players all stations take. A station that does not fit the lobby is struck through, and the start waits until the plan fits.
  • Scoring: At each station the winner gets as many points as players took part, the last one point. A tie shares the better place; in team games the winners share first place. With "Final counts double" the last station brings double points.
  • Flow: After each station the standings appear; after 30 seconds the next station starts by itself – the host can press "Next station" earlier or end the evening. A bar at the top of the game page shows which station is running and where you stand.
  • Joining and leaving: Between two stations someone new can join and starts with 0 points. Whoever leaves stays in the table with their points. A station that no longer fits the number of players when it is due is skipped; a station that was called off does not count, and the host goes on with the next one.
  • Guests play along if the lobby allows guests, and are scored like everyone. If the host leaves, someone with an account takes over first. If only a guest is left, they finish a running evening; they cannot plan or start a new one, and can only switch off a planned one.
  • At the end there is the award ceremony for the whole evening. Each station also counts as a normal game; in your profile the games of one evening stand together under "🎲 Game night". There is one achievement for winning an evening and one for a long evening in which you played every station.
  • During the evening the lobby is not listed publicly; friends join with the code or the link.
