Shadow Game

One of you is the impostor – find them by their clues. Β· At least 3 players

🎭 Goal: Crewmates must unmask the impostor.

πŸ‘ Roles: Crewmates see the secret word, the impostor does not.

πŸ’¬ Clues: Each player gives one clue in turn (max. 20 characters) – not too obvious, not too vague.

πŸ” Showdown: All clues are revealed.

πŸ—³ Vote: Who is the impostor?

πŸ† Winner:

  • The crew wins if it unmasks the impostor by majority and they then fail to guess the word
  • The impostor wins by staying unnoticed (no majority against them) – or by being unmasked and guessing the word
  • The guess comes after the vote, and only from the unmasked impostor – there is no draw

πŸ•΅ Variant: Undercover

πŸ‘₯ Roles: Civilians know the word, the Impostor a similar word, The Ghost only the category. Everyone knows only their own role. The Ghost appears at 6 players, a second Impostor at 8.

πŸ” Flow: One clue each → short discussion → anonymous vote. Whoever gets the most votes is out — their role stays secret. This repeats until one faction wins.

πŸ‘» The Ghost: Secretly guesses the civilian word at every vote. If voted out and correct, the Ghost wins alone.

πŸ† Winner:

  • Civilians win when all infiltrators (Impostor + Ghost) are exposed.
  • Infiltrators win as soon as at most one civilian remains.
  • The Ghost wins alone by guessing the civilian word when exposed.
