Mahjong Solitaire: game rules

Mahjong Solitaire

The layered tile puzzle: spot free matching pairs and clear them. In multiplayer it's a race on identical boards — whoever finishes first wins. Also playable solo. · At least 2 players

🀄 Goal: Clear your layered board by clicking two identical FREE tiles. A tile is free when nothing rests on it and at least one long side is open. Dragons, flowers and seasons score 10 points per pair, every other tile scores 1.

🎴 How it works: In multiplayer everyone gets their own board with an identical layout — everyone plays at once, nobody waits for a turn. Whoever clears their board first wins the race. A deadlock with no reshuffles left knocks you out and you spectate the rest.

🧰 Aids:

  • Hint (solo only): marks a free pair for you — 3 per game, free of charge. Undo (solo only) puts the last pair back and counts as help.
  • Shuffle: usable anytime. The budget is 2 reshuffles per round played (so 6 with 3 rounds, 10 with 5 — spend them freely across the game), but at most 3 within a single round. Once you can't reshuffle, a deadlock ends the round for you.
  • Five board layouts as a lobby setting: turtle (classic), pyramid (steeper), dragon (long), fortress (wall ring with corner towers), spider (body with long legs).

🏆 Winner: Whoever clears their board first wins the race. Anyone knocked out is ranked by pairs cleared. Solo you win by clearing the board. Solo the clock runs along; without hint, shuffle and undo your account remembers the best time per layout.
